As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.
Our Assessment: This is a neat little single-action .22 with an innovative safety which would come in handy when training a new shooter or one who has not handled a single-action revolver before. This would be an excellent choice when getting the next generation of Cowboy Action Shooters ready, or for anyone who just wants a rimfire single-aciton. Please see our photos and good luck!

Scott,
Your choice of Bourbon is almost as good as your choice of guns!! I think dirty is more the ammo than the gun. I shoot a Ruger SAA occasionally and end up with dirty fingers.Comment

Thank you!!! Yeah..the 22 blow back around the cylinder is why..I just thought it was funny when I looked at my fingers when I was done. Those Rugers are beautiful but given the cost and my budget the Heritage fit the bill for me. I love my Ruger Super Redhawk 44 mag!Originally posted by waltherppkView PostScott,

Is there an 'X' before or after the serial number on that one?Comment

Nope. The serial number starts with a C and the rest are numbers. What is the significance of the X? Thanks!Originally posted by F.A.T.View PostIs there an 'X' before or after the serial number on that one?Gun owners must unite in 2016 to defeat the Democratic agenda. Looking at the pics the finish looked imperfect.. may just be lint, etc. That's why I asked. The 'X' always means a gun where the finish wasn't up to par and sold as imperfect.Comment

Yeah, I really didn't even wipe it down or anything before I took the pictures..it was straight out of the box..over all, I felt the blued finish was pretty good..again for something as cheap as this.Originally posted by F.A.T.View PostLooking at the pics the finish looked imperfect.. may just be lint, etc. That's why I asked. So, I guess Taurus acquired Heritage in May of 2012. Has anyone that is more aware of the Heritage line of products able to comment if they have seen any improvements in the company, offerings, or customer service since Taurus purchased it or what their plans are for the company? Just curious?Originally posted by F.A.T.View PostYup, they are great for the $$$. All Taurus products are IMO!Gun owners must unite in 2016 to defeat the Democratic agenda. At one point I think we sold more Heritage firearms than anyone else in FL. The owners were a husband/wife team. The wife called me to thank me for selling their firearms.. they were easy to deal with, and the guns were decent for the money.
Taurus has revamped their customer service department for the whole company and all lines they sell.. the president is also **** bent on not shipping anything that is not perfect, so I'm sure things will be ok with the 'new' Heritage.Comment

Glad to hear they are improving things. I may look at their new .32 revolver, now. Sounds like they are really getting it together since Taurus bought them.Comment

Well, I got the 22 magnum cylinder from Heritage. It arrived much quicker than they originally told me which is always a nice surprise! I took it down the range today to test it out..a little nervous if there would be any issue with the cylinder timing as Heritage and Bang Bang warned can happen on occasion. I guess I lucked out and saw no indication of a problem. No spray what-so-ever. Accuracy was excellent. The cylinder flash of this caliber is very interesting and impressive. You definitely know you are shooting something more powerful than .22lr!!!! I am very happy I bought it. It is like having two guns in one!
Now the first few cylinders were a little problematic. A couple of times, the cylinder was binding a little when I tried to kock the hammer. I also had a few occasions where the fired brass did not want to eject. It seemed to be only one cylinder hole and you could feel there might be a burr or something that was causing the case not to extract easily or even when you loaded it, you could feel some 'scratching' as it went in. This only lasted for about 3 or 4 cylinders of use and then everything seemed to just click!! The indexing was smooth and the one problematic cylinder hole seemed to smooth out. So, I guess I attribute this to just breaking the cylinder in. I finished that box of 50 and fired another box of 50 without a single problem! In fact, I started wishing I had brought more ammo!!! But I had other guns to shoot anyway!Gun owners must unite in 2016 to defeat the Democratic agenda. ALL Gun Owners get out the vote!Comment
